Stay protected 24/7 with Direct Banking Alerts!

Direct Alerts allow you to receive email or text notifications about account changes that have occurred in online banking. These alerts add additional protection to allow you to identify and report potential fraudulent activity as soon as it happens.

Remember, anytime you suspect that your account information has been compromised, report it to us immediately and always remember to review your account statements.

The following alerts are available:

  1. New Payee Added: Receive an alert when a new bill payment payee has been added.

  2. Personal Access Code (PAC) Changed: Receive an alert when your personal access code for online banking has been changed.

  3. Online Banking Account Locked Out: Receive an alert when your online banking account has been locked our after the maximum failed attempts to answer your security question.

  4. Online Login: Receive an alert when an online login has occured.

  5. Interac® Online Payment Authorized: Receive an alert when an Interac Online payment has been authorized from your account.

  6. Interac® e-Transfer Recipient Added: Receive an alert when a new e-transfer recipient has been added.

IMPORTANT: If you receive one of the above alert messages and you did not attempt to access your account or make the change to your account, please notify us immediately - your account information may be compromised.

How Will Direct Alerts be Sent?

You can receive Direct Alerts through text messages and/or email messages to your mobile device and/or computer so remember to check your phone and/or email regularly. Alerts are only available for activities performed through your Sudbury Credit Union online banking or through mobile banking. Alerts will not be sent if changes are made through telephone banking or at the branch.

How to Set Up Direct Alerts From Your Desktop

  • Login to online banking.
  • Select 'Messages and Alerts' from the menu on the left.
  • Select 'Get Started Today' under 'Alerts'.
  • Turn on the notifications you would like to receive.
  • Follow the steps to receive alerts by email or text.

How to Set Up Direct Alerts From Your Mobile Banking App

  • Login to your mobile banking app.
  • Swipe left to access the second menu screen.
  • Select 'Alerts'.
  • Select 'Manage Alerts'.
  • Turn on the notifications you would like to receive.
  • Follow the steps to receive alerts by email or text.
